I’m Christopher Zachar, an aerospace and software engineer and technology enthusiast for over 25 years. This is my personal website where I share my projects, thoughts, and experiences in the world of technology.

I started my engineering career with NASA at Kennedy Space Center in Florida and served with NASA and the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. I was presented with the prestigious NASA Space Flight Awareness Honoree award for contributions to the Space Shuttle and human spaceflight programs.

After my time at NASA, I transitioned to defense contracting for our military, government agencies and defense industry partners. I have contributed to a wide range of projects, from developing software for unmanned aerial vehicles and missile guidance to systems for space exploration.

The NASA Space Flight Awareness Honoree Award is one of NASA’s highest honors.

I’m currently working on a commercial business project, Scheduler Systems. The website is not expected to go live until September, 2026.

I worked at this hotel from 1987 to 1993. This is one of the funnest places I’ve ever worked.

I couldn't sleep this night so I took a walk along the water. It was stunning to see my old city again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. This particular Longhorn is in La Quinta, California.

I have a DJI AVATA and DJI FPV. Piloting with the FPV goggles for both drones is amazing. You actually get the sensation of really flying.

I’ve been doing a lot of driving lately, particularly from the San Bernadino Mountains down to Palm Desert and La Quinta. It’s a great drive.
